anna newell jonesI’ve been thinking about what I’m going to say for a while. How to start. If I should or shouldn’t do it… but I know, it’s time. This blog has been such a HUGE part of my life for so long. I started it with a crap ton of debt and a sliver of hope that life could be different. Since then, I’ve learned SO much, met SO many people, we’ve published over 1200 blog posts, I’ve been able to write a book!, be on TV, and in magazines. Like, what?! How’d that happen?! As a community WE’VE PAID OFF/SAVED MILLIONS of DOLLARS!! It’s so incredibly wild to think about the magnitude of amazingness that this blog has brought to me and how it’s helped so many people live life in a new way!

I am so beyond thankful for all my readers and for all I’ve learned from you over the years. Life is a lot different for me now than when I started the blog way back on December 29, 2009! Now, I have a kid, I have a few other thriving businesses and I’m feeling pulled to go other directions. This blog has kept me accountable and it gave me a place to write and share everything I was struggling with as I got out of debt using the Spending Fast and Spending Diet, and as I tried to make sense of everything! You let me know that I wasn’t alone and I’m so, SO THANKFUL!

What does all this mean? It means, I’m gonna take a break from blogging for a bit. I don’t know how long it’ll be but I don’t want to have the pressure of keeping the blog going when my heart isn’t fully in it anymore. Blogging is kind of like a marathon with no finish line. You just keep going and going!;)

I’m trying to be even more true to myself and go with my gut, go with what HAS been moving me lately. We all have a limited amount of hours in the day so I’m trying to be authentic to how how I want to spend my time. These days, I feel more compelled and inspired by my Spending Fast Bootcamp participants who are kicking ass every single day and not letting debt get a say in their lives any longer. I’m being drawn to grow my Spending Fasters Facebook group more. The way they cheer each other along and are so damn supportive is beyond cool. I’m ready to spend more time with my son, on our wedding photography business, and on my side gig (that has been one of the biggest surprise blessings ever and a complete game changer in the whole “make more money” thing!)

With all that said, I’ll still be around! There are exciting things in the works and I still want to spread the get-out-of-debt message and people still need the hope of getting out of debt quickly by using the Spending Fast method… so, instead of blogging, the message will be spread in a different format. I’ll still post new content here and there but it’ll be more “every blue moon” then “a few times a week.”;P

Seriously, from the bottom of my heart, I’m beyond thankful to every single reader and supporter of me and this blog throughout the years. You helped me get through one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, and now, because of that, I have a new life. One free from debt and the awful weight that comes with it. That’s not something I take for granted. It’s not something I take lightly.

If you’re new to the blog, Welcome! Use the search bar to find a ton of amazing posts, take advantage of the resources, go back to the beginning to read about the Spending Fast from Day 1 and work your way through. And, please know, above all else, that YOU ARE NOT ALONE and THERE IS HOPE out of debt!
